We all saw the transfer Saga of Frankie this Summer as Manchester United were very adamant about their star signing Frankie, A total €65 Million was put on the table for Frankie to which some extent Barcelona was considering their financial situation.

Frankie De Jong left Ajax in 2020 and joined FC Barcelona for a fee of around €75 Million. The Dutch International looking excited to play for FC Barcelona.

But it has now turned all sour for the Dutch International as Frankie is caught in a financial battle with his own dream club, Barcelona reportedly wanted to bring down the heavy contract Frankie is earning in hopes to cut the financial problems of the Club.

DeJong was signed when Josep Bartomeu was still at the helm of the Club, the Controversial club president has been linked to various scandals in 2021, with the simultaneous deterioration of the Club's wealth and Performance, Bartomeu was very soon the public enemy in the eyes of Barcelona supporters.

Bartomeu is also blamed for the high transfers fees Barcelona paid for the Players who had no little impact in Camp Nou, prime examples being Phillipe Countinho and Antoine Greizmann. The club paid a total of €250 Million for both players who ultimately failed to leave any impression in Camp Nou.

Bartomeu is also blamed for the troublesome financial problem the current Barcelona Board is facing. Also gave very Lucrative deals to players within the squad, Giving high salaries to players like Samuel Umtiti, Clement Lenglet, and also Frankie Dejong.

The very Contract Frankie De Jong received from Bartomeu has been the main contention of a rift between Frankie and the Club.

Frankie De Jong's important role in Xavi's team

De Jong still is very crucial in that Holding Midfield in Barcelona's 4-3-3 System, De Jong is a natural replacement for Sergio Busquets, With ageing Busquets, Frankie De Jong can easily take his position.

Frankie is also very strong at defence, CDM in that 4-3-3 position means Frankie drops deep between the two Center-Backs allowing Full-Backs to Attack forwards. A prime young Busquets. Frankie playing in that CDM position can largely solve the defensive issue.

Going into Attack too Frankie has been a beast of a player. The ball-carrying capabilities of Frankie are evident as a midfielder he places himself in positions that are accustomed to a striker, and also has the vision to find players between the gap.

Frankie plays in his preferred position of CDM in the Dutch National Team, He likes to receive the ball from the Defenders first going into the attack. He smoothly carries the Ball forwards making a pass for the Forwards.

Since the arrival of Orial Romeu at the Club in the beginning of 2023, Frankie has been more fluent in Attacking as he does not have to worry about Defending as Romeu would be there to cover him up at the defense.

He enjoys more freedom noe on the pitch as we have seen him many times carrying the ball forward from the midfield to the center of the Attack

Frankie has already won over the camp Nou as his charismatic display never fails to mesmerize the Catalans, But Xavi might have a different plan as he looks to play again Busquets in his position. Barcelona has been so much better whenever Frankie has started over Busquets, or When Frankie has come on as the substitute for Busquets.

He also had been a very crucial player for Now Manchester United Manager Eric Ten hag as he was the one player he was dependent for his whole midfield. Ajax at 2019 went on to win the Dutch League Title and reached historic Semi-Finals of 2019 Champions League knocking out the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus etc
