The Manchester derby shows Manchester United still have work to do.

Manchester City

Manchester City dismantled Manchester United with a scoreline of 6-3. With 4-0 at halftime, Manchester United was already suffering. Even though United did manage to score 3 goals just to make the scoreline sound less miserable, the 6 goals they let slip didn't.


Erling Haaland was the man to watch with scintillating form in front of goal Haaland scored a hattrick against United, which his dad might be proud of after gathering the match ball at the end of the match. He once again seemed to have reached another level in terms of scoring goals


. The chemistry between Kevin De Bruyne and Haaland was one to watch.

Not to downplay Phil Foden's role in the game, he also scored a hat trick in the derby. A Manchester City player who came up through the club's ranks. He looked delighted after scoring a hat trick against United.


On the other hand, the Red-Half of Manchester were left to question themselves. Another blow might be the injury to Raphael Varane, who came off after half-time.


The Red Devils added two more goals from Anthony Martial, but the damage was done before the penalty. The defence was utterly shambolic as City ran riot with their crosses, tearing that defence apart.
