Updated: Aug 1, 2023

Real Madrid lose El-Classico

After a thrilling El-Classico game, mighty Barcelona has gone and done they got the better of Real Madrid with Frank Kessie getting the golden goal against Los Blancos in the 92nd minute. Barcelona totally dominated the play against Madrid with Madrid even struggling to keep the ball.

Barcelona went down 0-1 thanks to the own goal by Ronald Araujo after Vinicius Junior was able to get off him after losing the lead Xavi's instruction was clear "put the crosses inside the box" hence Barca started domination with the help of their wide wingers Raphinha and full back Balde who were able to put Madrid into pressure.

The result came with a fantastic cross from Ronald Araujo as Sergio Busquets hammers it Home for Barcelona's equalizer. With pressure mounting Real Madrid thought they won it at Camp Nou only to see their goal scored by Asensio disallowed for offside.

A highly controversial decision but was ruled in the favour of Barcelona, with substitution Real Madrid looked once again dangerous but it was Barcelona substitute Frank Kessie who got the Home team to take the lead against Madrid.

Nevertheless, a thrilling game meant that Barcelona is now 12 points ahead of Real Madrid. Realistically the league might be over for Real Madrid as 12 points margin is a huge difference and no team has ever won the league after going 12 points behind.

Barcelona looked like a team that was determined to win against this Madrid side as the title was in the sight. Barcelona tasted their hard-fought win after injuries to their main players like Pedri, and Dembele. Barca seems to have made it without their main stars. Once again the team play from Barcelona is what made the difference with players like Frankie De-Jong having a wonderful game.

One thing Real Madrid can take away from this defeat can be that the brightest star player was Vinicuis who was playing against Ronald Araujo, a defender highly rated playing against Vinicius. Real still has one Camp-Nou game left to play in their Copa-Del-Rey fixture which Barcelona are ahead on the aggregate.

With Barcelona likely to be the new La Liga Champions the feelings in Catalonia were mighty high with all the current political happening with Barcelona this win might just do for the Culers to help their nerves cal, down.

As given for Real Madrid it might be time to focus on the Champions League fixture against Chelsea and might well the Copa-De-Rey.
