1. Premier League
Matchday 13 of the Premier League has already balled out with Liverpool losing to 19th-place Nottingham Forest. The only goal scorer was Taiwo Awoniyi in the 55th min into the second half. Liverpool dominated the game with possession and passing but couldn't find the equalizer. Liverpool's defense would come under scrutiny as Forrest could find 7 shots on target.
Chelsea vs Manchester United.
In a Premier League derby both the teams played out a 1-1 draw. Goals for both teams came in the dying moments of the match. A Poor foul by McTominay awarded Chelsea a penalty, which Jorginho converted without hesitation at the 87' but a few mins later in additional time, Casemiro pulled back the equalizer for United through a header despite being off balance & scored his first goal in United shirt. Through the celebration, Casemiro showed the mentality he brought along with him to never give up until the end. United was the better side & in the first 20-25 mins United dominated Chelsea but their attack seems to lack lustrous which they must improve. Chelse and United retained their 4th and 5th position respectively on the table.
Manchester City vs Brighton
Manchester City outplayed Brighton by 3-1 goals as Haaland scored a brace and de Bryne scored from a thunderous strike from outside the penalty area. Brighton showed character and pulled one back in the 2nd half after Haaland put City in a 2-0 lead in the first half, but a quick transition and the goal from Kevin sealed the victory for City.
2. ISL
It was matchday 3 of ISL and Mumbai City FC and Jamshedpur FC played out a draw with a scoreline of 1-1. Lallianzuala Chhangte put Mumbai forward after he lashed onto to through ground cross by Greg Stwart, 8' into the game but was soon equalized by Chima Chukwu from a long throw-in as he caught Mumbai's defense sleeping and scored through a free header. Mumbai had more possession and was playing good football by building up, switching flanks, and created opportunities up front but failed to get the winning goal. Jamshedpur FC on the other hand was playing on the break, snatched the ball from Mumbai quite a few times during their build-up, was quick on the transition and counter, and troubled the Mumbai defense quite a few times.
Hyderabad FC vs Bengaluru FC.
Hyderabad continues their good show under head coach Manolo Marquez from the last season. In yesterday's match, both teams were evenly poised before a header from Bart Ogbeche late into the game gave Hyderabad FC the lead and all 3 points. The match was not that exciting as very few scoring chances were produced.
La Liga:-
Real Madrid vs Sevilla
Real Madrid went on the pitch without Benzema who is having muscle fatigue but that didn't stop them from scoring as Modric, Vazquez, and Fede Valverde scored the 3 goals for Madrid. Erik Lamela the Argentine International pulled the equalizer for Sevilla in the second half after Modric gave Madrid the lead within just 5 mins into the game. Vazquez and Valverde scored the winning goals at 79' and 81' to seal the fate of the game. Fede Valverde's brilliance has been crucial for Real Madrid as he can position himself anywhere on the pitch according to the situation and help his team control the game.
