Spain has a good opportunity to redeem itself as it could close the gap with Portugal.

Spain is dominated by Youngster players like Gavi and Pedri have taken over at a very young stage, The Barcelona prodigy is set to make headlines again.

apart from Gavi Spain might have a team for the future, with the likes of Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Ramos in their 30's the young talent might be taking over the Spain side soon.

Whereas Portugal also has a quality team in their books, Fernando Santos has a lot of qualities to choose from, with Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes, Rafael Leo, Ruben Dias, and Santos having quite a lot of options, Honestly, the Portugal team looks more strong than Spain on paper.

Portugal won the competition initially when it was started, so Portugal does seem to have experienced it too, whereas Spain was very close to winning the competition only to be defeated by France in the Finals.

Players to watch.

Diego Dalot

Diego Dalot With two goals under his belt for Diego Dalot the full-back is in blistering form, Dalot has also been very crucial to Manchester United. Erik Ten Hag has done wonders to bring back the confidence in Dalot, with him running down the wings the team has an entire midfield and the attack left to cope with the attack.

With the goals under his belt, Dalot will be looking to impress under Santos with another star performance.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has always been classic when it comes to these types of games. Cristiano Ronaldo has not lived up to expectations this summer, the 37-year-old is yet to score or register any assist this season for Manchester United, Ronaldo has a rough start with Erik Ten hag as he might have potentially lost his place to Marcus Rashford in the starting line up.

Given his club woes, Ronaldo shouldn't be underestimated in any circumstances, the 37-year-old has produced magical moments when everyone deemed him to be finished.

He can be the game changer for Portugal against Spain as he has a good record against Spain, who can't remember the hat trick he scored against Spain in the World Cup of 2018. Ronaldo performed absolutely brilliantly in that game earning a point for Portugal in the dying minutes with an equally brilliant free-kick. He might be out of form but when the biggest stages have arrived he has always delivered.

Gavi

Gavi was impressive during their game against Switzerland. The teenage prodigy from Barca has not failed to interest major suitors for the youngster, Even though barely 18 years of age Gavi has impressed many with his performance against Switzerland. His forward passing was crucial for the team creating chances.

Gavi will be looking forward to securing his future with Barcelona Xavi, the central Midfielder has been the main part of Xavi's rebuilding process. Gavi has excellent ball possession, he is quick to find spaces in Midfield.
