Manchester City are the Premier League champions of the 2024 season they have done it for 4 years in a row and have been a force to be reckoned with this season
With a slow and sluggish start of the season, they were mostly behind in the league table for most of the season, It was Arsenal who led the table for most of the part in the season, but the games proved to be crucial for City leapfrogging Arsenal in the League Table.
Man City scored 91 points from 38 games this season, the second team Arsenal scored 89 points they fell 2 points short as they came agonizingly close to beating City. Pep Guardiola now has competed against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Antonio Conte’s Chelsea.
In the final game, against West Ham Mancity were able to ward off the threat as they were clinical with Phil Foden giving City the lead they wanted after that it was just like a breeze for City, good on possession and well on Attacking play, what do you ask more from Pep’s team,
Arsenal on the other hand were a bit slow for their start with Everton as the Merseyside outfits were able to get back and score and take the lead but the lead was soon turned over by Arsenal after they scored 2 goals and were able to overcome the obstacle. Mohammad Kudos surprised fans alike as he was able to score a stunning bicycle kick and get a goal back but it was all fruitless as Rodri blasted his shot scoring for the third goal as it was all dusted.
Captain Kyle Walker was able to provide some quotes that won hearts of City fans all around the world,
“The last few years have been very special for everyone at Manchester City but to have captained this club to a fourth straight Premier League title is something I will cherish forever.
The Premier League is the benchmark by which everyone is measured. It’s rightly renowned as the hardest and most competitive league in the world so to win four in a row, especially after last season’s Treble success, illustrates what we have collectively managed to achieve.
There are so many people I would like to thank but I have to start with Pep, the backroom staff, my colleagues in the dressing room and everyone who works so hard across the club, day in and day out. There is no way we could have won this title without all their incredible work and efforts.
The support we also get from the Manchester City fans never ceases to amaze me. Week in, week out they are there, whatever the weather, supporting us all the way. Their passion and backing honestly mean the world to me and all the players.
I hope that making history by winning a fourth consecutive Premier League title stands as a fitting way for us to say thank you to all our fantastic supporters.”
Pep Guardiola snatching the Premier League Title with his team. Well this really sums up the Title race this season as 3 teams were altogether in this league run with Manchester City excelling out of that three teams.
