Erling Haaland has been at the top of the world since his arrival at Manchester City. The Norwegian has broken some of the most prestigious records in the Premier League. In his debut season for Manchester City Haaland has scored more than 30 goals.


He has already surpassed Mohammed Salah's best goal-scoring tally in a single Premier League. He has also surpassed Alan Shearer's record for the number of goals scored in a single season in the Premier League and also broke Sergio Agueero's record of 26 goals scored in a single season.


Haaland has been a missing puzzle in that Pep Guardiola team, Kevin De Brune's excellent passes barely miss nowadays. Erling Haaland and Kevin have formed a fantastic partnership at City. The duo's most dominant display came in their thumping win over Arsenal in the Premier League decider match.

However, Haaland's arrival has created havoc for the Premier League Defenders.


But just how valuable is Erling Haaland in the market? According to Transfermarkt, Haaland's market value is a staggering €170 million. This places him in an elite group of players, with the likes of Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius Junior, among the top 10 most valuable players in the world at present.


Interestingly, Manchester City managed to secure Haaland's services for a fee of "only" €60 million, which raised eyebrows given the earlier talks of a €75 million buyout clause. The intricacies of Borussia Dortmund's agreement to this lower sum remain shrouded in mystery.

As Haaland's transfer to City neared its finalization in May, there was much speculation about the financial aspects of the deal.

The footballing world learned that Haaland would be earning a hefty salary, with figures initially suggesting a weekly wage of £600,000—equivalent to over €30 million gross per year. In simple terms, Haaland's net income would be around €15 million per annum. By way of comparison, Kevin De Bruyne, City's highest-paid player and one of the Premier League's top earners, commands a weekly wage of £375,000, roughly translating to €12 million net annually (or €22 million gross).


However, after the official announcement of the transfer, English media reported that Haaland had agreed to a salary identical to De Bruyne's. This revelation initially seemed surprising, given that Haaland was one of the most sought-after players globally at that time.

The key difference lies in the bonus structure, which is rather unique in Haaland's case.


According to The Daily Mail, a series of performance-based bonuses could see Haaland's weekly earnings soar to £865,000 (approximately €900,000) gross, translating to around €46 million gross per year or €24 million net annually.


Many news oulets also have granted that Haaland's market value might be around $1 Billion after he lifted the Treble with Manchester City.


How can Haaland fit into that Madrid team?

Well given Haaland's role in most of the clubs he has played there is no doubt that his position is as a centre forward, currently, that role is taken on by Karim Benzema who is 35 and proceeding towards the final years of his contract with Madrid.


Surely Madrid would be looking to replace Karim sooner or Later. As things stand Mbappe rejected Madrid last season for his beloved Paris club now can Haaland be what Real Madrid is looking for?

Absolutely there is no doubt that Real Madrid wouldn't be a perfect fit for Erling Haaland. He is a pure striker and midfielders Madrid posses will have no doubt that they will be looking up to Haaland whenever the opportunity arises.


Haaland is a box-to-box striker and a lethal finisher, He rarely attacks from the wings and occasionally drops down compared to Karim Benzema Haaland is a completely different striker.


But a team as versatile as Real Madrid it can easily fit a striker like Haaland into its system. Real Madrid's team is completely focused on the younger generation of players pressing might not be a problem for Madrid if Haaland couldn't do so.

Kylian Mbappe might still be the premium choice for Real Madrid this season however if they failed to secure the Frenchman Haaland's transfer might be on.


Currently, Haaland seems to enjoy football at Manchester City who are on the verge of winning a treble, but in the world of football, nothing can be turned down in the near future.


Erling Haaland's current market value is between €150 million euros to €200 Million. Pep Guardiola is the sort of manager who would let any player walk out if he doesn't feel that player is happy.


So if Haaland hands in the transfer request, pretty sure Manchester City will put him on the transfer list.
