Barcelona has as usual a busy transfer market with various arrivals for the next season. Barcelona is currently struggling to offload its players too with a huge squad, Xavi and the Barcelona board have to work on the quantity of the squad.
Mateu Almeny and Deco have been the prime factors in this season's transfer window showdown. FC Barcelona's 2022/23 transfer window was one the best in recent years as the club saw the arrival of world-class players like Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde.

What are the players Barcelona has an interest in?
Jao Felix has caused quite a stir recently after he expressed his desire to play for FC Barcelona. He described it as a "dream come true" will he sign for Barcelona.
Barcelona might consider signing him as they are quite a hunt for a Left-Winger, but the player profile doesn't seem to fit Barcelona's style. It might be a Griezmann saga all over again.
Either way, this was a desire Felix has expressed for Barcelona but no concrete evidence has been found for a transfer. However, a loan deal might be possible as there are various speculation Atletico Madrid are okay with a Loan move involving up to €25 million.
Arda Guler's case has been a tough one to swallow for Barcelona as he is one of the key players they were after. Laporte openly expressed that Barcelona was following him closely for Guler to choose their arch-rival Real Madrid over them.
Why is Xavi keen on building a large squad?
Xavi and Barcelona had signed bucket load of players in the previous window and the same can be said for this window too, if there are more targeted players in the club's list. One of the reasons why Xavi is keen on building a large squad may be because of the depth.
As we have seen in the previous season of 2022/23 Barcelona lacked quality players in many positions especially in the defense and center-midfield which was positioned by an aging Sergio Busquets.
Legends like Gerrard Pique and Jordi Alba have not been up to Barcelona's standards as age has caught them up. Bringing a young, talented, fresh group of players should help Barcelona gain its former status.
